Into The Void was a combined effort for me. At first, the project was  taken on as a commission in which I was tasked with creating a soundtrack for the film. In conversations with the director we touched on the directions the film was taking and subsequently the possible paths the soundtrack might take to follow, or walk along side, the film. These talks inspired me to push myself and my creative thinking to a level I had not yet started to reach for. As the project started to grow, so did my educational responsibilities. Into The Void was a project that I took on late in my university life and came at a time when I was tasked with working on my final year project. With the looming pressure of both tasks I came to the realisation that I could combine the two. Using the project as a piece of coursework allowed me to tick two boxes at once. I could complete the largest task required of me in university and still give the project the time, care, and attention it required. So with the the go ahead from both the university and the director I made this, the score for Into The Void.
